By "it" I meant our users personal data. Because a government website link is so much safer than Google.

It's never (to my knowledge) been proven that the US govt sells its intelligence data to private parties. Google however, makes billions every year by selling data to anyone that can pay.

The government is going to know exactly who sees what on the internet, regardless of your source or how many proxies you use. This isn't about the feds, its about a private data broker that is verging on the powers of a nation state in itself. Assange has slowly-but-surely shown a complete flip in his values over the last 18 months or so.

The government doesn't have to sell anything. They just have to keep it. It's just a matter of time before some contractor leaks it or a "hack" happens.
