I don't think you need reelection for that, unless I'm mistaken a single term is enough.

You get cushier benefits the longer you stay on. The pension is based on a formula with the average salary the last 3 years they served.

If Congress elected themselves to get a raise every term, then yes thier pension would increase with time served due to those raises. But hey, Congress would never do that right? RIGHT? :/
