CBD also does something to opiate receptors where people need less opiates for pain reduction or it can help those with opiate withdrawal. Science hasn't figured out the details of mechanism but it's pretty easy to find information regarding cbd as an opiate replacement in practice.

Tell me about it. I have a spinal cord injury that leaves me in constant, crippling pain. I have to use opiates to even be able to get out of bed and get around the house (and barely at that on the worst days). I never touched weed in 40+ years of life, until it was legalized in my state, but given my condition I was desperate to find better pain management, so I finally gave in.

It was a godsend. It complimented my regular pain management beautifully. I could get around better, I could sleep on a regular sleep schedule, I wasn't feeling like throwing up constantly, my hands weren't as shakey, the pain was just significantly, wonderfully reduced.

Then my doctor's office implemented a contract for patients who receive opiates. No marijuana use allowed - in a state where it is LEGAL. We get tested randomly, and regularly for its use. Fucking insanity.

When I could use it - and honestly in rather small amounts, I was feeling psychologically and physically so much better, I felt almost content with my lot, I felt a sense of hope and optimism, rather than the dread and gloom the pain and debilitating effects of my injury brought me to soak in. I am left in pain and again barely functioning, and without hope. And worse, with a feeling of betrayal, and contempt for the health care system itself.

It's horrible beyond words, it truly is.

More than insanity. They are sane psychopaths. They would rather sell more opiates and have you suffering than actually have you improve.

I'm very sorry for your condition and I'm definitely in the boat of fighting to provide a high quality THC or CBD product for people exactly in your position.

I'm a health nut. My whole day is dedicated to improving the health of something, in one fashion or another. No, I'm not a stupid hippy living in idealism. I'm a scientist that tests things himself rather than listening to an authority.

I don't know how much longer it will be legal, but have you heard of kratom? It's another opiate replacement that if you got your hands on, you could get away from the medical system. I'd gander that weed + kratom would be a godsend and get you out of their clutches. However, there's always talk of banning it, so maybe we'll see people growing it indoors more. I dunno. Makes me sad that the system is so dedicated their monopoly that they can't allow for a little competition. Faggots.

God bless you and your pain. I hope you can overcome.
