Hey, let's outlaw this plant that makes medicine, food, oil out of thin air, and has a fiber that can make rope, cloths, paper and god knows what else.
It also makes you feel good when you smoke the flowers, clearly a massive public health hazard. Can't have people feeling good from anything other than alcohol.

It removes heavy metals from the ground. Hemp and cannabis are both biodynamic accumulators. They leave the ground healthier than when they went in.
As opposed to wheat, cotton, and other grains (seeds), which leave the soil depleted without additional care.
