I'd argue that an amateur could pull it off with enough time in a flight simulator though. Landing those planes is the only hard part thanks to computers, or so says a pilot friend of mine.

I've not heard of any sources that confirm radiation, and the severe cases of lung cancer can be explained by the asbestos used in their construction. This is yet another reason its so convenient that Silverstein had an insurance policy covering terrorist attacks. Renovating the buildings would have cost more than his entire investment into the buildings.
Also, I wasn't aware that any non-nuclear missiles used any sort of uranium, though it wouldn't really shock me. Its completely within reason to think that explosives might have been used in the planes, or even in the buildings as a backup.
