Tin foil hat time. Was this an accident or sabotage? The sister pipeline, Keystone XL, has a regulatory hearing soon to allow it to proceed. This spill seems lucky for the opponents.

I would be more suspicious if it didn't leak. Those pipes routinely leak and had it not happened, it would smell of cooking the safety books.
I have since learned that, due to state law, that pipeline safety is not considered in the upcoming regulatory decision. "Not my jerb" apparently.
