I know this lady who lived in a house near mine with her sister about ten years ago. They were both in their late 50s early 60s, and once told me about their father's work retreat at some cabin in the woods when he worked for Avro, where he and another engineer "choked to death" and the bodies weren't available for viewing before cremation. These ladies' mother went into the mortuary unannounced, and discovered that the bodies had blackened skin, which is evidence of poisoning.
Avro not only made a fast missile, they made a plane faster than ther missle too, and that plane technology was too eearly for the Americans. The Arrow project was scrapped, and many engineers who worked on the projects "had accidents" soon after. Three chokings, some suicides carried out by happy men with families, and some car-related deaths. These old ladies had a first-hand encounter with the military industrial complex in the 60s, when they were children.
Does anyone have some info on this?

Good point Jerry! I think they were more protective of the technology than the story itself - but the way they sacked the Arrow project and destroyed all 6 prototypes and their engines is suuuuuper fishy! Dan Akroyd made a movie about the general story but it had none of this juicy stuff.
