heuristic is being disingenuous and fairly faggoty here.

I was extremely clear and open about this entire process.

I even reached out to you via PM last month or so to let you know I was inviting Heuristic as [O] mod here.

In fact, I left the invite up for 2 weeks and not only did heuristic not accept, but he didn't respond to my PMs either.

And here we are now...heuristic is trying to raise a fuss over something that I didn't do.

Not only have I not deleted a single comment or post since the last debacle, but I did everything people wanted: I nuked all the old mods, I held an election, and after proper vetting I invited heuristic as co-owner of the sub.

After 2 weeks of silence, I got concerned and rescinded the invitation and I sent heuristic another PM to ask if he was still interested.

And yet here we are.

Everything I've just stated here should be very well documented and I'm extremely disappointed that this larp of a witch hunt is happening again.

This entire post is disingenuous at best, and I say that after developing considerable respect for OP over a number of years. I didn't write the rules of /v/conspiracy. As a mod, it's my job to enforce them. Here's my version of events: About a month ago, I received a PM from a user that claimed they were being harassed, and they linked the offending comment. After seeing that the comment had been reported multiple times and that it violated rule 2 of our sub, I opted to delete it. FTR, in several years of moderating /v/conspiracy, it was the second or third comment I've ever removed, and it was only because a respected user of the sub personally reached out. For those who may be unaware, until this incident /v/conspiracy has had negligible moderation. Fast forward to OP noticing (or being informed about) this single deletion. While reading a thread where I was being accused of improper moderation and being a reddit shill, I sarcastically referred to /v/conspiracy as a "subreddit" in an attempt at tongue-and-cheekery. The resulting drama has been so reddit-like that my subtle jab has become practically prophetic. Now that my "name" has been proverbially dragged through the mud, I don't really have any reason to attempt to defend my "honor". Because of this drama (which although misguided I actually do believe is rooted in a genuine desire to protect free speech on voat and the internet in general), I've decided to remove our rule 2 (which again I didn't write!!), and I've adjusted rule 1 to target just spam. And for the naysayers, we do get literal spam to porn sites etc. There has to be some sense of decorum, even on a voat conspiracy forum. I will always love voat and I will always be a conspiracy theorist. Please contribute to our sub in a positive way. I will offer my resignation if anything non-spam gets removed from /v/conspiracy in the future. I've been here since the beginning and I'm proud of every single contribution I've made to this site.

I suppose it's inevitable that as Voat grows in size and importance, we're going to get Reddit-style censorship creeping in. They can do whatever they want. Users have the ability to call the mods out on their bullshit by linking to the moderation log. The moderation log is what separates voat from eddit where we have proof that the mods are pushing an agenda.

When a sub is being (((controlled))) we should just create a new sub in its place and put a V after the name of the sub(example: ConspiracyV) to show that it is a sub created because the old sub was censoring, then migrate the good users to the new sub and sticky it for a while on the main to help.
