Ok we all know it's heavily manipulated over there but what I see right now is an algorithm tuned to heavily moderate the news and world news subs and keep them from seeding into r/all. All we need to know today is that Trumps buddy got the puerto Rico energy deal, and NYC banned vaping indoors.
It takes looking a 150 posts about kitties and stuff to glean that info. I'm sure this wasn't their intent, since the news posting intensity hasn't hit full speed yet today: this news-free algo is waiting for something important to obfuscate. It purposely Buries news, in a way I've not noticed before.

Even today when the JFK documents have been released and there's no mention in the hot r/all for the first 200 places at least. How is that possible?
