What is the differemce between a principal and a recruiter? This sounds to me they are hiring trusted, known staff. Impossible to infiltrate because it's not open to the public

A principal is a person who wants a job. A recruiter is someone who wants to be paid for placing a person who wants a job (e.g. a temp agency).

That's a standard disclaimer on every Craigslist ad. Someone posting an ad for a job can check a box indicating whether or not they'd like to be contacted by recruiters.
