Don't just blindly take CBS for gospel. In another article the mother claimed he was previously okay with not vaxinating but did it to piss her off or get back at her after an argument or something. This article says 50/50 custody was awarded after and the mother was complaining about not seeing the kid when she got out of jail. With my general knowledge of the courts and reading between the lines it looks like the dad did it as because doing what the state wants makes you look much better in family court and 50/50 is highly likely to have replaced something like every other weekend visits with his kid.
