I haven't met a soul that thinks the FBI is correct on this one. I sell a shit ton of newspapers- and everybody had a comment, I love to gauge the reaction with the customers- damn we all agree it was more than one shooter.
To create confusion; to frustrate investigation; to continually block access to genuine information. Because this was a high level conspiracy and the hotel was in on it.
And what they actually accomplished was to destroy their own reputation. We have to assume it was worth it to them to lose that in order to keep whatever they're hiding under wraps.
