2005: Ellen Pao is hired at KP as John Doerr's chief of staff and junior partner.
2006: Ellen Pao and colleague Ajit Nazre take a business trip to Germany, where Nazre made his first “advances.” Nazre and Pao develop an intimate relationship. Pao discovers Nazre is still married, ends the relationship and the brake up becomes hostile.
2007: Senior partner Randy Komisar gives Pao a book of erotic poetry, "The Book of Longing," by Leonard Cohen on Valentine's Day. The book reciprocated the Buddhist sentiments in the gifts Pao gave to Komisar; Cohen is a Buddhist monk. Pao doesn't tell Kleiner Perkins management the gift made her uncomfortable. Pao reports to managing partners that Nazre is harassing her and retaliating against her by excluding her from emails and meetings. She also advocates for him not to be fired.
Nazre is promoted to senior partner in the Greentech group, where Pao works.
December 2007: Ellen Pao marries a hedge fund manager, Buddy Fletcher.
2008: Pao helps Doerr with a key investment into tech company RPX. Komisar is selected as the board member as he has more expirence and is senior to Pao at the firm. Ellen Pao believes the seat was rightfully hers.
She is not given a performance review prior to going on maternity leave. She is given a $40,000 annual raise and a $150,000 bonus.
She begins consultation with attorneys about her employment issues.
2010: She becomes a full-time junior investing partner with the Digital group.
KP gives Ellen Pao a negative performance review. She is called “territorial” and “aggressive”.
2011: Ellen Pao recieves another negative performance review from KP. She is "not viewed as a good team player" and is told she is "not on track to become a senior partner."
Trae Vassallo complains to Kleiner management about Nazre, who made sexual advances toward her in a bar and hotel room while during a business trip in Germany. Outside investigator Stephen Hirschfeld is hired to investigate Vassallo's and Pao's claims.
2012: Pao sends a memo to Kleiner Perkins, detailing her complaints about discrimination and requesting change at the firm.
Nazre is fired as a result of Vassallo's complaints.
Kleiner Perkins announced the promotion of three male junior partners. No women are promoted.
Hirschfeld finds no evidence from Pao’s claims.
May 2012: Pao is issued a 60-day probation period to improve. Ellen Pao sues KP for gender discrimination and retaliation.
October 2012: Pao is fired and given six months of pay, pro-rata bonuses and benefits.
March 2013: Ellen Pao joins popular blogging site Reddit. Becomes intern CEO for Yishan Wong.
November 2014: Yishan Wong resigns as CEO from Reddit. Ellen Pao becomes Chairman Pao.
Chairman Pao eliminated salary negotiation for Reddit employees, citing a gender-discrimination motivation for the change.
February 2015: Pao v. Kleiner Perkins trial begins.
Reddit Admins begins to Shadowban users for Ellen Pao and Buddy Fletcher comments.
March 2015: Jury rules in favor for Kleiner Perkins.
April 2015: Censorship of articles in r/news pertaining to Pao v. Kleiner Perkins.
May 2015: Judge orders Ellen Pao to pay Kleiner Perkins $276,000 for court costs.
Ellen Pao offered and files an appeal to Kleiner Perkins. To pay her 2.7 million and she will drop the case. Kleiner Perkins rejected the offer.
June 2015: Chairman Pao bans five popular subreddits on Reddit citing an anti-harassment policy.

Chairman Pao fires a reddit admin who is sick with leukemia, “For being too sick.”

Chairman Pao issues an apology. “We screwed up.”

July 10: Ellen Pao has resigned from reddit today by a mutual agreement. Steve Huffman returns as Reddit CEO.

Interesting info! I still don't understand how she became "temp CEO of Reddit". This line doesn't really help: "March 2013: Ellen Pao joins popular blogging site Reddit. Becomes intern CEO for Yishan Wong. " Seems like someone "installed" her in that position with a long-term agenda in mind.
