I hate to burst a bubble here but some brands do have reverse osmosis filtering. If you have RO it doesn't matter where your water comes from as long as it's not radiated. Tap water is not healthy to drink on a regular basis, for starters it is fluoridated and in some areas where it's recycled it has high levels of pharmaceuticals from peoples urine.
All bottled water is not a scam, know your brand and stay away from the cheap shit. RO water is worth paying for but if you can afford it setting up RO in your home or at least a decent gravity fed system like Berkey is well worth it.
