Tears come from the heart, not the brain. I figured it out early on. As a musician/composer I dip into it. Even my happy stuff comes from that well. I think most humans(sociopaths not included) have a sadness and that it helps to have empathy towards others, sort of like a crack in reality or whatever. Sadness creates a better understanding of true happiness/you don't know what its like to be a winner until you've been a loser on the bottom---kind of thing. I like loneliness, not to be confused with solitude. It's a nuclear power source. I can be surrounded with wife and kids and 100 other people but that loneliness is still there.

I see it as more of an awareness rather than loneliness. To replenish the well you must drink in your surroundings in your own way.
