Can someone hook me up with some good info ( videos or reading material) on a few topics, such as the cult of the black cube, the cult of saturn or the purple dawn; the gnostics and their believe in the tertragammaton, demi urge etc; and perhaps even Hermes Trismegistus? all i seem to get is crap from internet searches. Point me in the rich direction? thank you in advance!

Those drunk 50's swingers sure loved their robes and candles. Read DeSade, he was the Eyes Wide Shut of his day.

Well, let's see ...
You'll want to read the Hermetic books. There are a couple of versions readily available, as well as some other versions of individual works such as the Divine Pymander. I believe Meade did an edition of the Hermetic books, and there is the Scott edition, which is useful but a bit dry. Concerning the Gnostics, you'll want the Nag Hammadi Library which is a collection of Gnostic texts in English translation. The Greek neo-Platonists are an interesting study, in connection with Hermeticism and Gnosticism. I'd also suggest you look into the magical writings of the Graeco-Egyptians. There's a nice hardcover edition of the magical Egyptian texts. Budge did some pleasant works on Egyptian occultism and they are easy reading. I'd suggest you also look into the alternative gospels -- there are collections available.
I don't know that you'll find much useful about what you call the "cult of Saturn." It must be historically obscure, because until running across it on the Internet I've never encountered mention of it. Of course you will find lore on Saturn in the Golden Bough.

i used the cult of Saturn in a vague way it i may be approaching it wrong. more about how different cults worship saturn or how saturn plays into different esoteric beliefs
edit: looks like I am starting with the Nag Hammadi texts. a place to start is the first step on the journey, thank you for all of the info and pointing me in the right direction!

I have stacks and stacks of folders, from when I was young, and given to me by my family, who happened, to be Masons and pagans odd mix I am aware, but I have everything you need, you need to narrow down what you are looking for? May I suggest, you start with the Nag Hammadi texts, then log onto Library of Congress, and put in a search, you will hit pay dirt. As, I have said if you are more specific, I can give the VAST amount of info on the black cube and Saturn.

edit: and looks like i am going to start with some videos recommended ( because those are the quickest) and then off to read the Nag Hammadi texts. i will follow that recommended route, thank you so much. the sense i got was a deep and vast journey, but i didnt know where to start. Here's to the first step!

Have you tried torrent sites? I have found good reading materials that way. I know it is getting scarce these days but sometimes you can find some good obscure stuff there.

Years ago when there were still multiple torrent sites you could do a search for: metaphysics; occult; gnostic; magick, etc. and there were torrents with hundreds of ebooks. It was fun because you would get lots of related stuff that was hard to find. I imagine there are still places to go besides just Piratebay but I'm not computer savvy enough to know. Seems like I found a few good books on Scribd also.
Another spot to check out is http://www.sacred-texts.com/ They have a good selection of stuff to read for free.
