I think the point he's making is that crash resistant cars with no emissions built in America and easy to maintain are a 'better waste' of American taxpayer dollars than unhealthy food additives, but it's a bit of a moot point. The government shouldn't subsidize anything, nor should it be in the business of educating children, nation building, overtaxation, economic planning through regulation (a Soviet principle) or funding for the arts, sciences or really anything else that costs money and isn't inside the primary directives of the DOJ, Congress, the DOD and the fucking US Mint. Maybe the highway system and the postal service, the latter of which is actually profitable. Fuck all subsides, fuck taxation. This country's federal government should be capable of running itself on nothing but import tariffs and the spoils of war.
