Jesus, I would not have expected that so quickly. All Most of the accounts are around 15-17 days old, so about the time of the recent FPH influx. A shame that they're dominating the culture now when previously people wouldn't be cracking jokes over a death (possible suicide) and attacking people for being concerned about vaccine safety.
Edit: As of now, four hours later, the top comments are now no longer all the ones attacking and laughing at Jeff Bradstreet. When I made my comment here originally, almost all of the comments on that discussion page were people celebrating the man's death, implying he was mentally ill because of his stance on vaccines.
Yeah it feels a little bit like this site became 50% FPH overnight sometimes. This was an awesome place for discussion. Now it still is an awesome place for discussion but there's always got to be some asshole or troll around too. You've got to live a pretty sad life to devote so much of it to your dislike of fat people that you can't take anything seriously anymore.
Well, it kinda did. So many people came from FPH that it crashed the site.

No idea what you're on about. Those comments have nothing to do with fat people. Not even sure what you're getting at. There's no connection between hating fat people and not taking something seriously.
What I mean is that they are generally actually just trolls. They spend so much time ragging on fat people that if you confront them about it you're likely to be met with an empty headed "lol" and a few downvoats. They don't even take themselves seriously enough for a person to successfully call them pieces of shit.
I don't know what the average FPH person is like, but I just can't abide bigotry of any sort. It's harmful to the very notion of the growth of human cognition. Anyway, not all of the folks who came over were from that subreddit, a lot of new faces who just want a place that isn't suffering from all of the ills reddit is.
I've been advised by a few people that most of the more trollish users will probably slack off and find other places after the novelty of Voat wears off for them, and I hope that is the case. I don't mean to imply by mentioning the age of the accounts that these people are associated with FPH, just that it was a big event that got Voat a lot of attention, so it makes sense that trolls and possibly propagandists/shills may have come by to set up shop where their voices may have influence.
You may be thinking of the bigotry that occasionally happens in /r/conspiracy. /v/conspiracy is generally different.
Yes there are some people who post here who may believe or suspect that there are Jewish conspiracies or that Zionists are astroturfing (I think that it's important to be clear about the difference between Jewish and Zionist - one is an ethnicity while the other is a political ideology, but there is definitely overlap). These people do not necessarily represent the majority of the people who post and comment here.
Discussion about these sorts of conspiracy theories is fine in my opinion. When it becomes bigoted, that's when I have a problem with it.
Even in this thread. There's a guy talking about whoring for shekels. It's definitely here on this subverse too. There's a post on the frontpage now calling them shills.

I agree fully. It's no different to racism or sexism or any other irrational mindset that causes people to have prejudice towards someone that they don't even know personally. I cannot claim to know a FPH person either but they are less deserving of the benefit of the doubt in my opinion. You've got a good point though, that any movement would be attractive to trolls whether it's for or against fat people, thin people. green people.
I hate how this somehow makes you antivax. (I'm not against vaccinations btw, just suspicious)
It's like calling monsanto evil cunts makes you an anti-gmo anti science freak.
I'm ok with people cracking jokes (of any quality) about someones death, but it should be in a place people expect to see that type of comment. /v/news is not the place for it.
it's the same as calling people anti-semites for questioning truths. It's designed to elicit an emotional response from everyone else. But it has been overused, and people are becoming more aware. :)

You know I overlooked the shekel comment. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I've warned the user and documented the warning.
Are you referring to this post?: Trolls are attempting to poison this sub just like on reddit.
