They would want to wait until gridlock traffic to pull it off. It looks like it happened prematurely and their plan for the bridge didn't happen the way they wanted it to.
Either that or they are covering up that it was actually a terrorist attack. Imagine the south realizing that terrorists were in their backyard? They want to keep extremism hush hush whether its Black lives matter, Antifa, or Muslims
