Well the problem is the equation is slightly out of balance a "down vote" has consequences with no "cost" it should minus your CCP score and when under 100 again no down votes again.

Its is a fallacy to believe "up votes" and "down votes" are equal an up vote is a free will act here is how it works:

  • you can up vote or
  • you can do nothing

That is a balance, the down vote throws it OUT of balance, but is still good to have as a limited "stop gap" or "break" on flow.

But it should have a cost, because if it does not it throws the balance out.

What do you think of the idea of only allowing downvotes (and maybe upvotes also) When you have posted a response. And you can only up/down vote that particular comment. Also, to up/down vote an article, you should at least have to of made one post in it. Ideas?
