That just seems like an idiotic statement to me. The video is short and lacks a lot of context, but we can all see that this is hardly a 'fight'. This is an outright assault. Maybe it was racially motivated, maybe it was just some random after school beef... even still, saying that the victim was biracial so it couldn't have been a hate crime is beyond stupid. Hate has no boundaries, last I checked anyway.
Whether race had anything to do with it or not, I dont understand the rationale behind the statement this officer made here. He's literally saying that because the victim was biracial the attack couldn't have been racially motivated. Biracials aren't immune to racism, infact they often get it from both directions as they're stuck in the middle.
That's the article writer's argument (in the OP's link); but, I would like to think we're smarter than that -- focus on the problem and arrest that bitch-ass motherfucker.

Race may or may not have led to the altercation -- all that matters is to take the offending perp off the streets, preferably, permanently.
Savages attack tots and mothers, and ought to have their freedom curtailed.
