Journalism is a massively oversaturated market to the point editors at major papers and magazines say if your degree is anywhere but at the bottom of your experience list they'll throw your resume out.
This has given us BuzzFeed journalism. People want to read the news. The MSM gives us soon and gloom. So alt media gives us entertainment.
The internet should have made good journalists unstoppable. Sadly it's made people illiterate.
