I watched Soaked in Bleach last night. Based on the information in the documentary, I agree with the chief of police in Seattle at the time of Kobain's death and various forensics experts; the Seattle Police completely botched the investigation, and the case should be reopened. The interviews with Kobain's friends were quite convincing. They said Kurt was not depressed at the time of his death. It is a good watch and the full movie is on YouTube, but hurry before it gets pulled.

Why does anyone believe he's even dead?

Growing up I was obsessed with Kurt Cobain. I actually researched this as a teenager, and the way the gun was positioned doesn't make any sense. Fucking sucks.

I know nirvana is a mainstream band, but in utero (the last album) was amazing, and Kurt's work was improving with time.

It's the Streisand effect. Courtney's lawyers trying to mute the movie is only drawing more attention to it. I wouldn't have ever seen the movie, but now I definitely will.

  • "That question becomes more disturbing when Courtney Love’s legal representatives recently issued a cease and desist order against every movie theatre that planned to screen the documentary. A largely failed attempt on her part, as only a small number caved to the empty threat."

  • "What is more puzzling, is how the IMDB listing was seemingly attacked with negative ratings – before the film was released."
