Might be another nonsensical connection to events I have no control off. But the recent ban on everything confederate, which identifies much of the southern part of US plus this operation seems like they are preparing masses from everywhere to start a hate or shaming operation on people from the south that ought to reveal against this operation in a defensive manner.
If there is a reason for states like Texas to separate from the union this might be just one, and if individuals take out their flag, the flag that makes them feel represented then is more reason to hate on them.
Its to create a subtle hate even from people from within those states, because the people that could be more prone to reveal against the federal government are people from southern states.

I'm familiar with ideas like gradualism. But many of the claims being made are clear cut claims: e.g. is martial law active? Does the 2016 election occur on time? Do any US cities get nuked? (All of which I've heard as claims either here or back on the reddit subreddit of the same name). These are clear cut, and so if people are going to make them, they are opportunities to make testable predictions.
