Jordan Peterson said something interesting, i'll try not to mess it up TOO much since English is not my native tongue. I think it connects with what you said.
Humans can never know 100% of anything, so we fill our gaps of information with faith/belief, which not filling with something fake, but thinking/questioning/etc and trying to find what might be missing from that gap. I don't know how against religion you are, but he says that it's stupid to make fun of people who have "beliefs" since it's just part of human nature, and everyone believes in something, for the reason said in the first sentence.
There are real conspiracies, and until we have proof, they remain theories.
Then there are the utter bullshit theories, which are put out there either as disinformation to discredit us by the CIA or just to laugh at the gullible. This is the cancer that needs excising from the community.
Read deeper. That is very true but not the point of this article. Yeah reptilians and whatnot are BS. Reading into the actions of the elite and what countries are doing is not bullshit.
That makes sense. Sorry for the confusion. If it bears any weight, I love the debate and critical thought I am seeing in response to this article.
The way this article is written is not saying what you just said though. It is saying almost everything is simple and only use facts stop questioning. I searched the article out drunk and at my wits end (explains the typo in title) with regret for the redpill I took. So I googled that. The first thing that showed up was this article.
I saw one blue pill saying how conspiracy theories are crap, while at the same time believing the conspiracy, that many conspiracy theories are generated to distract the public, and make them conspiracy theorists :P
What he actually said: “some conspiracy theories seem to be designed to create in their believers a sense of futility and cynicism”. Then continued saying he doesn't believe in conspiracy theories: I try to avoid theories, myself, and that way I don’t have to go around arguing with people about whether I’m a conspiracy theorist or not. I stick with facts. Why would anyone want to spend their time advocating a nutty-sounding theory when they can promote important facts instead?”
Some conspiracy theories really are the product of schizophrenia, and anyone who thinks otherwise has never dealt with a schizophrenic.
Thing is though, "conspiracy" does not necessarily imply "unreasonable," as people by their very nature collaborate, sometimes in secret, to achieve common goals. Therefore, anyone who uses the word "conspiracy theory" in an argument is usually, either intentionally or because they are a useful idiot, conflating what is a "reasonable conspiracy theory" and what is a "crazy conspiracy theory."
I saw that. We are on different paths yet the same wavelengths. Edit.....actually read what I posted and not reply in two seconds or whatever exaggerated manner.
