When the dam was built, it didn't have rebar reinforcement. That's why it broke, and why they had to evacuate the fish hatchery.

Are you a local to the area? Because a lot of the "elite" people in the area have ties to ranching (cattle, almonds, rice, corn; big ag in general) and wouldn't shoot themselves in the foot, not with how water has been rationed due to the drought.

Your first clue to their insanity was calling this a disaster... No one died no large pupulation areas got flooded. Some damage to a dam that desperately needing fixing. No big deal.

I am pretty sure it has been declared a disaster. That declaration allows out of town fire dept.s etc. to respond (get paid by the state).

As it is unfolding still and homes have not been searched that are in the danger zone it is presumptuous to say no one has been hurt or killed.

Disabled people were left behind according television reports.

It's not presumptuous. It's a fact. The situation is under control. Disabled people were left!!! Omg someone think of the retards. If that doesn't show you this is another media hysteria I don't know what will. Don't you see how the media sells you bullshit and you eat it up and believe every word. Water isn't coming out of any spillway anymore. They have 3 days to fill the hole and make temporary fix until the rain starts again. Wasn't the media saying California will be a desert is 10 years this time last year. They sell you fear and tragedy and you buy it no questions asked.

There relly isn't any need for insults and ranting. The disabled persons (plural) was from evecuee interview telling about refusal of ambulance to fetch disabled people. The dropping rocks idea is not going to be effective against a massive water breech but will probably succeed if it doesn't rain this week and the massive storm on the way decides to go somewhere else. Sources for water level, spillage, erosion include multiple live cams and witness videos posted on line. The news media was late to report (except local west coast media) so most are getting news from non-commercial sources, not from media "hysteria".

"They sell you fear and tragedy and you buy it no questions asked." this is the hallmark signature of a troll. Try another thread.
