This sub needs to implement a CCP standard for downvoats.

100% agree with OWNtheNWO ive noticed you post high quality content, ive seen it down voted. And "shilled".

Lets face it, the "down vote" used as presently is about 80% for burning content a few don't want the many to see. Also call me "paranoid" but I think someone is already messing with the mechanics of the code. I.e I think there are vectors for manipulation.

I'll call it, based on what ive witnessed here recently as the "reddit" "sleepers" approach 100, it's game over without the CCP on down vote.

The other point is , does "Twitter" have a down vote? think about it? That model could be tweaked and improved, with an idea I had:

"Conditional mute"

Mute all from X sub in "front" unless it has Y# up votes.

Etc. That and the ccp on down or even NO down vote would work.

It's not good enough to make a reddit clone.

It has to be site wide, otherwise fork the code and make a new site, then because of universal algorithms based on information flow your site will eventually hit "critical" and be "the" new site.

I'm not sure if you saw my response to your post about this. It's still up for consideration - I'll probably make a post about it in the near future... probably more succinctly worded than before.

I don't believe that everyone downvoting this post is a shill or an astroturfer. Some people here may just not like seeing rants and wild accusations of shilling all over the place.

I don't care if the shilling is malicious and intentional or just useful idiocy, they do not deserve the right to influence this sub just for the fact that they loaded a webpage and started clicking buttons.

If I know people are downvoting that have a decent ccp it's a lot different than when I know any account that was created 5 seconds ago could be sitting in here hitting the downvote button. It's always keywords from topics that get hit too, particularly vaccines and gmos.

I'm saying that the people downvoting content may be legitimate regular visitors to this sub who have good intentions and valid reasons for downvoting, not that they are idiots at all. That said, what posts apart from this one have you seen which received unwarranted downvotes in your opinion? if we can give them close scrutiny then we may yet overcome any damage which has occurred.
