I'd also throw in the date of Columbine, April 20 1999. I think Virginia Tech was right around that date too. Personally, I do recall a fair amount of coverage on the Fertilizer explosion but the continuity in dates is just general interesting to me. One component could be people picking those dates with some intention, however I think the nitrate explosion was an apparent accident. I'd be interested if anybody into astrology had input on alignments in mid-April.

Good points. As for the dates, perhaps some underground, para-military group(s) see(s) Koresh as a hero and want(s) to commemorate the date of the fire that destroyed his compound. Adding Columbine, the para-military explanation seems to fit Occam's theory better than coincidence. If some interest group knew something was going to happen, but not where, on 4/20, that might suggest public dissent, they could create a diversionary action two days ahead, in order to hijack the news cycle.

I think you were joking about astrology, but for the record, I do not believe in it. The point of my submission was that it looks like 4/20 is an important date for some people out there.

BTW, note that the Koresh incident and the ammonium nitrate [edit] explosion happened within a few miles of each other, north of Waco, Texas. Cheers.
