The internet, being a virtual world, is similar to the real world, in that if I don't like the service I'm getting somewhere, I will just go somewhere else. I have already deleted my FB account. I don't go on Twitter much anymore. Haven't been on Reddit in a couple weeks now.

So long as the need/desire for open discussion exists, there will be a capitalist in-line to provide the platform for it.
