It's the opposite. Science became institutionalized, so people don't have to take responsibility for it. The Shuttle became the State vehicle, so no other designs could be considered. Top-down organization crowded out exploration.
The truth is we haven't sent humans to the moon yet and at its closest point to earth Mars is almost 34 million miles away -- i.e., over 140x farther than the moon.
The moon is 1,000x farther than any human has ever gone into space, therefore Mars is at best over 140,000x farther than humans are capable of traveling.
I sort of get this guy's point and he's right I guess, he uses the interesting term "incrementalists," but from a practical standpoint the main obstacle to a Mars voyage as admitted by NASA is traversing the Van Allen radiation belts, which would also have been a principle obstacle to a moon trip. There are plenty of other complications too, such as micrometeorites, human waste management, temperature control, and shielding from solar flares, not to mention the enormous mass of fuel that would have to be taken.
If you accept that Nasa faked the moon landings and Nasa themselves said they cannot go past low earth orbit, how can you trust them for anything else?
Have you considered the fact that they are lying to us about space to make us feel like we are nothing special, so we can be controled more easily? Did you consider the fact that if they can make us believe we are not alone in the universe, then an alien invasion is much more believable? Why is ALL the content from NASA cgi? Can you find a real picture of a satellite in space? There is tens of thousands of them but they are all cgi! Why do colors and sizes of continents/seas changes from year to year on official earth pictures? Ask yourself, have you been fooled?
I don't trust NASA, they are basically a branch of the CIA. Until they come clean that they told perhaps the biggest lie of the millennium, they can't be trusted, and probably not even then.
I have heard of Project Bluebeam and the possibility of a fake ET invasion.
I am on a limited bandwidth connection now, but if you search terms like NASA cgi hoax/fake on youtube you will find a lot of interesting content.
I also suggest watching "the ISS is a balloons above the flat earth" as it shows what sattelites are in real life.

I actually watched a pretty good Jeranism video yesterday about Stephen Hawking being a fraud/hoax. I do recognize that there is a lot of fakery involved in ISS. They obviously use blue screen technology and probably simulate zero-gravity with a high-altitude jet. Can't really take the flat earth seriously though. I consider it a psy-op to discredit any critics of NASA. "You don't think we went to the moon? You must believe the earth is flat too."

Do you really believe we are spinning at 1000mph, revolves around the sun at 66600 mph and the sun revolves around the "great attractor at over 1 million mph. And you know what? we cannot feel it, nor mesure it! We don't see it either as the north star never moved in thousands of years! and also the constellations are still recognizeable after thousands of years! have you seen a curve? the only ones we see are from pictures taken with a fish eye lense. Do you remember the red bull jump? all the cameras outside are fish eye lenses, warping the view to the point of having a inverted curve. There was one camera on the pod that was not a fish eye lense, the one inside the cabin and it showed a perfectly flat earth.
you can try to debunk the globe, like i did, or you can go back to sleep and wake up to the reality they made for you.
