That's all this bomb did. It gave a few people minor cuts. It was nothing compared to the Boston bombing.
The question would now just be' "Why?" What is it that they would get from this? Something does seem fishy; they found a pressure cooker duct taped to a cell phone blocks away from where an explosion occurred and they took pictures of it. That feels like it would be a pretty obvious 'everyone get the fuck back because this thing could go off at any moment' situation. So the whole thing is weird, but why?
As "conspiracy theorists" it's not actually our job to fully explain what actually happened. We are more perceptive than the average pleb and can spot when, as you say, something seems fishy. We can see fake blood and spot a scientific impossibility. We might be wrong, and it might be an actual event, but there's a much bigger advantage in remaining skeptical of the media than it would be to blindly accept anything they tell us - even if the perp is a Muslim and we're all anti-Muslim.
But to speculate: You haven't heard a single thing about the US bombing Syrian troops so maybe it is a literal smoke screen to distract from that. Also Hillary's health has taken a backseat. And if there are "terror cells" in major US cities they might use this disinfo to justify more foreign military action. Even now, you can already see that security is ramped up in NY and NJ. These increases in police presence acclimatize people to a police state.
