Sure, but when you look these events, what we want to know is, what really happened: is the official media or government report entirely accurate, or is it some fake hoax? So you look at the totality of the evidence and find the best explanation. When you look at it from every angle, it must be asked whether it is more likely that it is a real event or an elaborate hoax? So this is just one detail that points towards "hoax" but as you say it doesn't particularly mean anything by itself.
