I don't even know what would happen if something happened to Trump. With all the obviousness of malfeasance and blatant "in your face" authoritarianism and oligarchy-like class running the theater, Trump being injured or worse may have zero effect. Americans are very predisposed with electronics, TV, and Walmart level food products to care (or so the media - LOL - portrays).
It takes only one lone nut (if you by that story) to kill a president or candidate (RFK) and there are plenty out there now that would hunt down some of the 1% and make sure they get the message. Shit. have you talked to many people here?
Not how it would be portrayed, but the response of the people if something actually happened. It just seems to be too obvious that it would be a conspiracy, but then again, you're right - there is a lot of emotion out there.
