Ford pardoned Nixon for any crimes Nixon may have committed while president. So, there is a precedent. However, I don't belive it was ever challenged, and I have my doubts that such obvious BS would hold up if someone challenged it.

The two common theories for the pardon are the stated reason (to put an end to the media circus around the scandal and stop people from fixating on someone who was already out of office so they could work on rebuilding the nation's image) and the conspiracy theory (that Nixon agreed to step down an give Ford the presidency in exchange for being pardoned). And the fallout was that people were massively outraged, Ford lost a ton of faith from a public that already wasn't keen on him or the oval office, and his political rival won the next presidential election.
Obama stands nothing personal to gain by pardoning Hillary if she loses. A two time failed presidential hopeful has nothing to offer a retiring president. Especially not one who let the White House fall to Trump. The Democrat party can't afford to show off that Hillary is above the law either by pardoning her for things that the vast majority of the public knows she's guilty of an believes she was let off too lightly on--especially since it just came out that the DNC already rigged things in her favor, so it's super risky to pardon her before the votes are in. The only real reason he would pardon her, then, is out of good will. And pardoning her will cause outrage. Especially if the media no longer stands anything to gain from shilling for a failure and doesn't try to distract from the story. Worst case scenario, it could give the Democrat party enough of a reputation for corruption that it hurts them 4 years down the road.
So what do you think Obama cares about more, preserving all that he can of his legacy, or good will towards a known criminal who started the Brither movement?

Someone else said that Barry can preemptively pardon her against prosecution. Unsure of the exact details though.

Unless she can take him down with her...

Does he value his legacy enough that somewhere between a few million and a few tens of millions wouldn't persuade him?

They can't pardon her past a stray bullet. Or my personal favorite a Molotov cocktail.

4tko's conclusion above that she'll be slowly eaten away from the inside by syphilis seems pretty good to me.
