I have looked into all the preparing for martial law stuff and must admit there certainly are compelling arguments and facts around the theories and it is easy to see why so many people are getting nervous about it.
On the other hand they say these are training exercises for deployment overseas and I can also easily see it as a build up to war. It certainly does seem a bit out of order though having troops running around on home soil playing war games and freaking people out. After that leaked map that showed certain areas marked as hostile I stumbled on this video which certainly is food for thought.
Lets face it, they have been bleating on about Iran for years so it holds potential, and Isreals goal has always been to divide surrounding countries and split them into smaller manageable regions so they can reign supreme with no local threat. I just found this theory an interesting proposition in they way that not only the friendly and hostile regions of the leaked map line up, but the fact that most areas share similarities in terrain. lets face it, I think that Isreals greatest fear/threat is having Iran on its doorstep, you can see that by how much talk there has been about Iran being a danger and how they've constantly denied them having the right to nuclear capabilities for a long time.
I think the whole world knows what America is capable of as it has been demonstrated for god knows how many decades now. I don't think it would really be necessary to make other countries aware of something they already know.
I guess the only reason America might want to mobilize troops in these regions is if they took the Chechnya threat seriously. But I can't imagine Mexico storming up and taking what was their land back, i wouldn't have thought they had the might to do it. But lets face it, if Mexico was mad enough to try and grab the land back that they gave away in the 1848 peace deal, which was California, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Wyoming, then that would certainly be a huge problem for America and could open up the potential for Mexico to allow some of Americas enemies into its borders to help fend of the Americans. It's hard to see a land grab happening though unless Mexico gets some serious backing from US enemies.
I'm from AZ originally, and last time I checked Mexico is in no shape to start a war with anyone. I think the bigger threat would be the possibility of another country using Mexico in order to put combatants on our border.
That was my thoughts exactly, I couldn't see that happening. Which basically means you have to pray that they are training for overseas deployment and not martial law.

What about the possibility of it just being a "show of force" for our government's enemies? The USA flexing it's muscles so to speak.
