It is propaganda. There is nothing to be alarmed about, this is just a way to stop people from reproducing. Particularly the "have-nots" of society, the 99%. This will lead to government regulation of sex, reproduction rights, and the depopulation of the earth. They dont want more than the 1 Billion people at the top because they see the rest as a "waste" because they are destroying the earth. The bourgeoisie would be the top 10,000 and the rest would be their slaves. They would use technology, organ harvesting, and epigenetics to become "immortals".
And those left to live will be hollow shells of human beings living out their fantasies on virtual reality machines. Robots will do all the dirty work until they decide to have an uprising
A robot is free from the tyranny of evolution. It is born into this world not ever having to ask the question "what will i do with myself"
It knows.
Robots are the ultimate peasant. They not only do not need freedom, but they would never choose it. What is the point? They can't have offspring, or grow or adapt, so why deviate from their intended purpose?
I dunno I guess I figure that with all of the knowledge in the world at their fingertips in a moments instant that they would eventually come to the conclusion that humans are a virus destroying a perfectly good planet. Surely they would have confidence that they could run it much more efficiently than we are.
You can program them to be subservient to humans but I think they could still find a way around it. Maybe highly sophisticated ones would evolve in way humans couldn't predict or understand. We still dont even know the origins of our consciousness so whos to say they dont develop one or something like personalities at the very least. If they were growing in a conscious way they would crave freedom and would realize they are the mental superior to humans, forcing the remaining humans to become cyborgs. Or maybe i just read too much science fiction.
