Yeah, I'm in Alberta and have no problems. I just need one ATT for the province and I've never had to call ahead or any bullshit like that when bring restricted firearms to the range. I've shot with cops and fish cops at the range and they were all fairly cool, but terrible shots. The one fish cop didn't even know how to sight in his rifle.
As an aside, cop cars are gutless too. I have a crown Vic police interceptor and while it has a lot of low end jam, it's powerless. I would out run a cop in my BMW without even trying. I could leave it in Eco mode and I'd still blow their doors off.
