It is just so frustrating to see how little (none) influence we have on the world around us. We think voting matters, yet still there are greater powers in charge, and the plans they have are definitely for their benefit, not ours.

Mathematically it doesn't matter. The information loss and conflation is too great for it to communicate anything. Carnegie Mellon did a study that showed empirically that public opinion has no effect on policy. I could have shown it mechanically. People immediately interpreted it as being because there is money in politics. No consideration for if it might simply not work.

Thinking about systems, most people don't do it.
