What I remember is that during the Republican primaries, FOX news, MSNBC, CNN, the DNC, the GOP, literally anyone "establishment" did nothing but try and destroy Trump, and they couldn't do it. Nothing serious enough in 30 years of spotlight to discredit him, and oh boy did they try. Some GOP members are getting on board now, but look back to September, everyone was his enemy. That's why I love him, because everyone who's fucked us hates him.
I got into an argument with someone who swore that Trump was this racist, sexist, evil guy - my point was that with a fairly limited library of video of Hillary Clinton, it's easy to find clips of her lying, but with hundreds of hours of Trump on "The Apprentice" as well as other speeches and appearances, the worst thing anyone dug up was when a female candidate on "The Apprentice" said she'd drop to her knees to apologize, he said "You on your knees would be an impressive sight"
That's the WORST thing they could find, and for the love of god - any man who didn't think that when she said it is a eunuch.
The folks trying to tear Trump down simply cannot find the dirt to support the shit they're saying about him.
I used to oppose Hillary Clinton because I felt she was corrupt and would further restrict our rights. But over the past few months I've come to think she's actually not as bright as she thinks she is, a pathological liar, and would be fucking dangerous in the Oval Office.
Agreed, but it really makes you question the validity of the political system if the best outcome out of an election is the "status quo" despite what vague pleasantries are being transmitted.
I honestly think we need to have Democracy through DIRECT Participation. With the internet being what it is now, we can attempt to build that system and kick out the crooked liars and snake-oil salesmen.

I'm just afraid that he'll use his new-found power to just make himself and those who supported him richer at the expense of everyone else.

Well that's just the status quo, so - no loss.
