I honestly and truly still don't know what comment exactly was the one which got me kicked off. This is really the only interaction I've ever had on Reddit that would come close to making someone feel "Unsafe".
I guess the only other thing he may have said was that I was harassing him by following him around. I commented on 3 different posts he made, one with 100+ comments, but one with no comments.
I certainly agree it wasn't the right way to handle it, but to ban me for THAT?
It was so small and petty what I said and did, that I almost think there's some conspiracy to target me in particular. This is the new Reddit I guess? Look at the guy who got banned from 400+ subs, why did he get kicked off? He certainly fits a similar profile as I do, white, Christian, right leaning politically, pro-America, pro-Constitution, pro 2nd Amendment, etc.
Who knows. Ultimately it's their website (the admins) so they have every right to ban me with no reason whatsoever, and there's nothing I can do about it.
They didn't "fuck you" ban me though, so I have been able to create a new account and continue posting from that. So nice of them.
Please feel free to post the screen shot if you want and let people know what this new "safe reddit" entails.
This is the post that SatansAliens really started baiting me
Who knows what the real reasoning was behind their decision, maybe they just didn't like me. I don't know, but they aren't willing to reinstate me, even after I practically begged for mercy and a second chance.
Which just makes me more suspicious and wonder if I was targeted by someone for saying something they didn't like. But again it's a private website and they have every right to just kick me off for any reason. There's no 1st Amendment rights on Reddit.
It's funny Reddit gives users the ability to go through everyone's history. Everything they posted and didn't delete. So you as a user can go through and read their comments. It even allows you to vote on those comments and reply to those comments. So it's a function that is programmed into their site. It's not something that users have to go and code by themselves. It's a part of the site. They purposely made it that way.
But when you do reply to those comments and especially if you voice your opinion and disagree with those comments and even more so if you vote on the things someone said then all of a sudden you're banned for following someone around or "brigading" or whatever else they want to call it.
They can just as easy turn off the history or make it so it's read only or you can't vote on it after you visit someone's history. There's many ways they can program it. But they choose to leave it as a way to ban people they disagree with.
In reality reddit programmed the site to act that way and then bans users when they use the functions given to them.
It's not the admin's site. They've hijacked the site and devolved a site capable of great technical accomplishments into a 3rd grade islamic madras slapfest.
It's a wrongway trainwreck picking up speed and leaving massive cultural destruction in its wake. It's the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes over there, a total clusterfuck mob of feces throwing animals.
