for a divination, you first hallow the area in thors name with the sign of the hammer. having some type of containment like candles, a ring of some kind (metal ring, chalk ring, or glass round plate, etc), or smaller crystals as control nodes can make the reading more accurate and the area more sealed

then, you invite in gods for guidance, IE the norns, mimir, saga, frigg, vor, and odin.

when you are confident they are listening, you pull out the runes whenever it feels right to. focus and consider what you want read. that's how you divinate with the runes. the message is best taken sequentially by the type of each pulled rune. the event/action could be good or bad, but it'll give you a glimpse of type

usual rune arrangements are nines, threes, or three threes becuase of how magic numbers work. (former two as long and short forecasts, latter as three path choice)

after you're done getting all your readings, close the area and contact again with the sign of the hammer

for best practices, you'll want to get a little journal to be a book of shadows as a divination log. a good practise is to just do regular personal forecasts

fate is a fickle thing and the universe, your past actions/habits, and application of ones will all effect wyrd. think of it like a net of karma connected nodes. a rune might be an event, an opportunity, or life advice, or all three of these things
