I've seen some goats discussing the Free Masons and Masonry in general, particularly their historical significance in the founding of America in its prime. Our Founding Fathers had the timeless wisdom to devise the world's greatest system and implement it -- and they were the first Masons.
Today, there are still Masons around, or at least places and clubs that affiliate themselves in such a manner, with people calling themselves Masons. I say this because of the dozen or so I've met over my lifetime, all of them were kooky and useless. Many of them seemed to be just welfare leeches that wanted to retain a little pride and self-importance for themselves.
So I wonder: are there any "true" Masons left? Are there any actual Masonic organizations on par with the ones responsible for 1776? How does one join? Can they even be found?
Thanks, goats.

What did Masons do for our country? 1. They created the monuments that all our land was surveyed from. George Washington created monuments from the Green Mountains to the Ohio valley and south to what is now Tennessee in doing so he created the right to own land in our first westward expansion. 2. Masons provided a kind of hiring hall later adapted by labor unions to gurantee that work that was done was of a good quality. 3. A Masons word was not only his bond but the bond of his brother Masons. The Masons were sworn to be honest and have integrity. None of this kind of stuff is useful in the modern world In general people are not honest, and will do any shady thing to get a buck, and integrity has no value to the leaders of our once great nation. Now although these values are still shared within the brotherhood they don't seem to be bonded to the rest of the people of our once great country. That is why no one can MAGA.

Years ago I saw people were posting weird conspiracy stuff about masons I figured i would just task one so one day when I saw a masonic license plate at the pharmacy I just walked up and introduced myself to the owner of that car. It was a bit awkward because it was halloween and I was dressed up as beetlejuice, but anyway.. I simply asked the guy what is up with their organization he said if you want to join you have to be invited and to be invited you go the public dinner they have on third wednesday of the month and if someone see that you are worthy they will offer you membership. They have to vet you so they will want to come to your house and make sure you aren't a creep or whatever. He said the only basic requirements are annual dues of a few hundred bucks or whatever and pledge to ~be a good human. also not really related (except that some rumors about homo rituals) I asked him if a homo could join his lodge and he told me not all are as accepting as other and his lodge is not the right one for me if I am homo. I asked because I heard no homos are allowed and from what I could gather, I think it's generally true at least this lodge closest where I live.

I had a mason work on my foundation recently. I'll ask him for you.

Look up the local lodge in your area if you are serious about joining. All you have to do is knock. Or as some say, ask one to be one.

You have to be invited

As a Mason, I can tell you all you need to do is ask someone who is already in the fraternity and they can start the process for you. There is an application and interview with several other Mason's and the candidate and their family (Wife, etc...). They report their experience back to the lodge and the lodge will vote for or against the individual beginning the process of entering the fraternity / lodge. If voted yes, that individual will be invited to the lodge and to be initiated. It's not that secret and the reason for the process is just to see if someone is truly dedicated to the process because there is a lot of work involved in going through the degrees and not everyone knows what to expect.

No, they were not the first Freemasons.
If you want to know, just ask a Freemason.

Masons are just a quasi religious boys club. My grandpa was one. Best I can tell they just go to get away from their families drink and network. The illuminati isnt anything other than a bunch of Jews and their shabbos.

Fuck the masons! That organization is tricking you people, they're using your souls. If what they do is so good why is it a secret? Might as well be a zionist organization. Freemasons and Illuminati are of similar cloth

Every lodge is separate, so it really just depends on who's running the local one.

Well that’s exactly what free masonry was designed for. At the lower levels it’s a charity that raises money for good causes and any man can join. You must like to wear LARP gear for meetings and remember tons of old ritual texts for every meeting. After you become a master mason and president of your own lodge. Only then do you start getting invites to the rituals heals around the world in which you basically start as a rookie all over again. Only those brainwashed and dedicated OLD men are invited to those exclusive clubs.
