I agree, the low end electric kits have absolutely no sensitivity. Good luck doing a double stroke on that. Some of the more expensive electric kits have better control, but you simply cannot make the same range of sounds as you can on an actual drum or cymbal.

I'd say I'm best at piano and drums, but I like being good at everything and not just those two. My recently favorite songs to play drums on are Fire by Jimi Hendrix, Take 5 by Dave Brubeck, and The Ocean by Led Zeppelin. And my piano preferences is anything jazz, I love improvisation. However I'm leaning how to play Dreamer by Supertramp on piano rn...

Attempt to Track them down, open up a local twitter/facebook account, offer a reward. Stick posters up, keep asking around for your guitar, describe the little unique colors and scratches on your instrument...at this stage its not the getting the guitar back that matters so much now, its the fact you lost it and allowed some piece of shit to steal your guitar. If there are lots of junkies and hoodrats in your area, then you got a lot of work to do you better get to work ASAP to clean up your neighborhood. Thieves and pieces of shit exist because only our tolerance allows it, do not tolerate them even for one second.

Acoustic guitar. Know shit load of songs from back in the day. I just do them like the record. Except Long Haired Country Boy by Charlie Daniels I sing sometimes as Long Dicked Country Boy.

Like tackling fingerstyle songs because you can't just bang out chords forever. Youtube is great for learning fingerstyle arrangements. I've even paid for a few from some of those guys.

Jewsharp is a really cool instrument. If somebody wants to learn an interesting instrument, I suggest that one. Check out some youtube videos on it.

Amarillo By Morning's violin intro fits really well on the guitar. The notes fall under your fingers if you play the D in the 10th position, the F#m in the 9th position, the G in the 7 position and the D in the 5th position or the first position. The second time around you finish on the 5th position A. Or open A which is a reach.

Just do it, 10 minutes a day is not a lot to commit to. Can't promise it will stay at 10 minutes, but atleast 10 is easy to commit to. Some days it will only be 10 minutes... and that's ok too...
