I remember celebrating 1990, or maybe 1989 or 88. Those years kinda blended together. Anyways, I remember "cheers"ing in the New Year with my parents to a glass of Canada Dry after watching the fireworks from the window and thinking about how in the year 2000 when I was old (to a kid, 16 is old) I would have a flying car. Even in the mid 90s I still thought it might be possible. By 99 I realized it wasn't gonna happen. At that point, still having internet after December 31st was the biggest worry.
