They give Hitler a surprisingly fair representation. It's meant as a social commentary, though, so the intent is to portray how undercurrents of nationalism lead to men like Hitler rising to power. If the intent was to demonize that it was certainly lost on me, but I guess it depends what side of the aisle you are viewing this from. Unlike kiked hollywood shit where they blatently ram their opinions down your throat, this movie leaves room for interpretation.
