6 months ago the store was still closed, but the BTC wallet was still open. Sometime after that the wallet was removed from the sidebar. I still have the post-Coinbase bullshit address in the /v/OneTruePutt sidebar, but I have it strikethroughed because Putt removed it from the /v/all sidebar, so I don't trust that it's still open, and thus I have not donated to it except for the one time describe in the second link above.
The issue with the BTC address (and any Voat specific sections/sidebars/etc) is that these sections in code are custom modifications to the site templates which we generally try not to do because this means someone using Voat code has to manually delete these things when they deploy the code.
Since these are manual modifications, we copy them to the server individually and if/when we do a full publish, these custom changes are overwritten with the standard files, thus appearing to "disappear" from Voat and raise speculation.
The Voat code was never intended to be used at this level and thus we have many nuances to manage and this is one of them.
If you go back and track this I bet you it "disappeared" with the port deployment.

This has been the case for several months now.

It appears the BTC address is still monitored.

Interesting. So it's possible that Putt did not close the address, but simply removed it from public view, for reasons I've already hypothesized.
I would like to know if @PuttItOut can still receive donations from this address. I have many monthly donations to catch up on.

Trying to read between the lines, does this mean we can still donate to that address if we have it ?
