For those of you who are unaware, the Linux Kernal development project is about to accept a new "code of conduct" written by pic related.
Some are suggesting this might be an attempt at corporate take over by Microsoft or something, as Linux is the only real alternative to Windows and cuts a huge swath out of MS's enterprise market share. Even if you don't use Linux, understand this will affect you. Most of the internet runs on this shit, and now they're going to try and get a "diverse group of developers" working on the kernel, in other words, it's going to go to shit.
It's #occupywallstreet all over again. The people who run the show, bankers, fatcats, CEOs, etc. brainwash the plebs with this retarded philosophy that makes real organization to protest their wrongdoings impossible. Because the plebs are constantly tearing each other down. And of course the weaponized rhetoric is supported by the media who are on the fatcat payroll. It's all so tiresome.
Python removing master/slave, Brendan Eich getting fired, James Damore getting fired, GNOME going bankrupt from diversity interns, OpalGate, Linus taking a "leave of absence", Node.js Code of Conduct.

I always knew this day would come. The left always waits for something to hit mainstream before coopting it and turning it into pure shit. Good thing is that the kernel is still very highly optimized, performance driven code without a lot of room for SJW narrative bullshit. It's all the userspace that is going to suffer as a consequence of the underlying support for CoC. So I don't expect anything different to happen with the kernel. Maintainers still won't accept shit code. It just might get a less little vulgar on the lkml from now on. Hopefully they'll weed themselves out if they can't make the cut. The kernel moves too fast for feelz>reelz.
Still I fucking hate these people. Their language is so perverse (ideologically.) These people don't care about tech, just virtue signaling, even if it means literally ruining everything they touch.
