I have spent hours reading through comments on Hanks' Instagram as well as numerous videos related to Kappy's death. I have just stumbled upon a number of random comments stating that in Hanks' Route 66 Instagram picture, that "near the footprint", there is a water bottle cap with a capital letter P on it. Get it.... Cap P... Kappy? I have taken a long long look at the photo and cannot see this bottle cap. Has anyone heard this yet? Can anyone see this supposed bottle cap with the P on it?

Of course you can also view the picture on his official Instagram. Its the second most recently posted image.

It's an old rusted bottle cap in the shadow of his elbow. The P is very visible. I agree.
High-res image here.

Where did this image come from? It is a different picture than the one on Instagram. The elbow shadow is separated from the body.

I made it by cropping the original full image. That image from Instagram you posted is just a preview of the full image which has a 1152x2048 dimension. I always click through to see if there's a full sized image in these cases from a PC, not a mobile. Sometimes yeah, what you see is what you get but every so often there's a nice high quality original available to save, as is the case here.

Awesome. Thanks for the explanation. I've never logged into Instagram from my PC, only phone, so I didn't know they were different.
Now I wonder why that would be? Does Hanks always post high res images of his shitty Insta pics? How does the size of the file compare to a typical high res photo of the same size? Any chance of extra embedded data? Hmmmmm...

I've just checked the first few dozen of his Instagram and there are now no photos with a hires version available to download. That's been changed in the past couple of days.

Interesting. Why am I not surprised.
