I'm not a shill because of the new account... I use goodguy normally but Voat won't send me my password reset email for some shit reason.. But anyway I don't find the "Rabbit" offensive as its not a rabbit, it's are character created by the artist. I hardly think his other works are disturbing either.. It's a fictional character he's created and he's shown the outer layer and the inside, I think it's pretty cool and the colours are nice.. He's put a lot of work in to all his works so definitely not offensive. But as for the other shit on the walls, blood dripping down, several photos of young children with no shirts on, now that shit should be questioned
With all due respect, even I (an unashamed Impressionist fan) know that truly understanding most “art,” especially post-modernist art, requires the beholder be fluent in the references, both explicit and implicit, the artist invokes. Perhaps you do not realize it but your post here put your lack of knowledge and/or cultural fluency in these matters front and center. Your ignorance is showing.
Meh. You like some art or you don't.. You think something is symbolising human sacrifice or you don't.. You think people kill and eat babies or you don't.. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
