Thanks. I thought we could all use a boost.

Re: the article .... it only makes me more happy that SKANKLES was defeated.

Definitely. Big aspect will be the "flippers" who have plea bargained and will both acknowledge their wrongdoing and point fingers. This will neutralize cries of false prosecution. The Deep State's response - already broadcast through Clapper - is that it was a necessary and BENEFICAL legit investigation (into Trump).

Oh, dear freakin' God! Did you see the updated in the OP? If not, here's the scoop: they floated another narrative! You're going to fall over laughing!

We got caught. Now we have to justify our behavior . https://imgur.com/a/blXdgNa

You should actually read that op-ed. There's no new narrative going on there. There's an explanation of how counterintelligence works.

We know that Carter Page, before he was ever on Trump's team was meeting with the three Russian men in this indictment for espionage.

https://static01.nyt.com/images/2017/04/04/world/europe/image-U-S-Accuses-Three-Russians-of-Spying/image-U-S-Accuses-Three-Russians-of-Spying-articleLarge.gif

Page was meeting with them in 2013. In 2015 they were charged with conspiracy.

Those are facts, this is a hypothetical. What if they were successful in recruiting him as a spy? What if sometime before he joined the Trump campaign Carter Page was acting as a Russian agent? What if gets on the Trump campaign? Trump and his team would not know that. What if Russia was successful in getting an agent on the the presidential team of a major US candidate? What should the FBI do in a case like that?

It's almost sad that you have no life. But then again you're a shilly asshole so I guess it's to be expected

What if sometime before he joined the Trump campaign Carter Page was acting as a Russian agent?

Was he charged? Or was he "acting" on behalf of the FBI?

Are you saying Carter did not cooperate with the FBI (taking the notebook with the recording device for the FBI to get evidence)?

Having cooperated with the FBI in a counter-intelligence operation and later as a witness in the 2015 trial of a Russian intelligence officer, it seems implausible that Page could have been a willing secret agent of the Russians at any point thereafter. More likely, he was playing out a role assigned to him, perhaps under duress, by the FBI. Page was apparently sufficiently trusted by the FBI that he was allowed to travel to Russia several times before and after the Bureau busted the Podobnny cell in September 2014. [See FBI Affidavit for the Prosecution, http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/2015_0126_spyring2.pdf.%5D

It should be pointed out that Page was never charged as an accomplice.

In addition, bear in mind that Page was never a paid Trump staffer and claims he never met Flynn and never had a single meeting with Trump. In fact, Page appears to have insinuated himself into the Trump campaign suddenly in early 2016 when it was short-handed without persons with direct foreign experience. He seemingly emerged out of nowhere. A biography in Newsweek portrayed him as something of a mystery whose role in the campaign is unclear, as is how he managed to gain nearly instant access as a junior foreign policy advisor to Trump: http://www.newsweek.com/carter-page-fbi-surveillance-us-presidential-ele...

Whatโ€™s notable here that seems to have evaded previous notice is that instead of being a Russian agent of influence, Page at the time he spang briefly into a prominent role within the Trump campaign in early 2016, was already an FBI informant, something the Russians would obviously know.

Page actually appears to have all the hallmarks of an FBI informant, or an agent provocateur, who was planted into the Trump campaign as part of an intelligence operation. Only, it seems apparent, the intelligence service he was actually serving was American rather than Russian.

That is significant for another very important reason โ€“ according to the Washington Post, the FBI obtained a FISA warrant last summer to spy on the Trump campaign under the pretext that Page was alleged to be a Russian agent. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/fbi-obtained-fisa...

What if the Muslim Brotherhood was successful in filling five advisor positions in the Obama WH? Also: https://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/white-house-welcomes-muslim-brotherhood/

You miss my point. This is a hypothetical. I'm saying assume this case is true.

"What if Russia was successful in getting an agent on the presidential team of a major US candidate? What should the FBI do in a case like that?"

you're going to play whataboutttism on a hypothetical?

I saw that MSM flip today today. They are gonna try and pull off "spying on a US presidential candidate is OK, because its Trump" shit. I'd flip the switch myself on these motherfuckers.

This.

Absolutely. It'll totally legitimize the charges.

And I look forward to them floating that narrative in a Federal courthouse. Especially since the alleged purpose was to plant false evidence. And after a two-year investigation that included spies and wiretapping, our POTUS came out clean. Yup, let them try that nonsense. The only thing they can do that's beneficial at this point is to admit culpability and get on the next plane to Gitmo.
